Mark was born in 1978 in Portsmouth, on the south coast of England and spent his childhood growing up in the city of Plymouth.
On leaving college he joined the Royal Air Force as a medic and spent the next few years travelling the world and trying not to faint at the sight of blood.
After leaving the RAF he started a career in IT and it was during some quiet night shifts that he began writing regular flash fiction and short stories—publishing them to online forums. A small collection of these stories was published in the e-book The Game of Life and Other Short Stories in 2020.
Mark is currently working on a number of projects including a fantasy novel and more short stories.
Mark is a fan of sci-fi and fantasy. His favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Brandon Sanderson, and James S.A. Corey.
